The hole at the bottom of the ship was at its end and had directly destroyed the vessel’s steering and engine systems. Nailisi started searching from the back of the ship to the front, but she could not find a single corpse.

This was normal. There were already many special creatures on the ship and any corpse would have been eaten clean. Just as Nailisi started to become a little disappointed, she saw a large ring in front of a cabin door. It was covered with what looked like rust, but Nailisi knew it was not. She placed it into her mouth and wiped it down with the sharp spikes on her tongue, polishing it until it was shiny and appeared almost new.

Spatial equipment! Nailisi used her focus to examine it and knew what properties this object possessed. With this spatial equipment from the Second Dynasty, this would not be a wasted trip. Even if they could not find the Irene’s sunken ship, it was worth it.

Having encountered this ring here, Nailisi took a glance at the undamaged cabin door, interested in what laid behind it.

However, Nailisi did not have the ability to breathe underwater like Saleen and she had already been searching for more than an hour in such deep seas, creating a tremendous strain on her body. Nailisi thought for a while. Instead of using scrolls to create air, she returned to her demon form and the pressure was immediately greatly relieved. Her skin was now like Saleen’s and could absorb whatever air she needed from the water.

Nailisi placed her hand on the undamaged door and gave a slight push. The door opened silently. It was long since been filled with seawater, but none of the items inside were damaged. Nailisi looked at the items stored within the cabin and wanted to give a loud laugh.

Saleen had been looking for this! It was a magic cannon.

Nailisi did not analyze any of the oddities on this magic cannon, as it was much smaller than what was drawn on the book, being barely two meters long. She was afraid that the thing in front of her would disappear and she stored it immediately into her bracelet.

This was a magic cannon. What was more, it had been created during the Second Dynasty and there was not a second one like it on the entire mainland.

So long as they set up the magic cannon on the rocky mountains north of the port, any large combat vessels within a hundred miles would not dare come close. Nailisi knew what Saleen was worried about – the combat fleet from the Holy See. With this, they would not be able to reach the shores to attack, the magic stone artillery would not be able to help, and they would need to sacrifice their knights if they wanted to secure a victory.

Nailisi smiled. She could already imagine Saleen’s expression when he saw this thing. He would seem like he had never been happier before.

The wood materials used to create this combat vessel was quite special. Nailisi knew that she would be unable to tear it all down and take it away. The movements of the fully constructed puppets would be severely limited in deep seas like this as well. Moreover, counting only on two puppets, she would still be unable to tear down such a large vessel.

Nailisi searched the head of the vessel carefully. Although she did not find a second magic cannon, she was already satisfied and she took down whatever she could. On the bridge, she had even found a giant magic compass.

The components of the magic compass had spoiled, but the part of the compass used for surveillance was still good. It almost seemed to have been created with tremolite. Nailisi knew the value of this, and using the dragon’s tooth dagger to cut it down, she stored it within her bracelet. At last, she felt as if there was nothing else she could take and she reverted back to her human form, swimming back to the pan’s turtle alchemical boat the way she had come.

“What did you find?” The grade-3 mage was incredibly excited. He did not have any self-serving motives. Back on Sregl Island, the high-grade mages had taken everything while the low-grade mages could only wait to split the remains among themselves. However, although the distribution had been quite fair on Sregl island, they had spent quite a long time with Saleen and realized that he treated everyone fairly decently. Perhaps they were now living even more well-off than they had on Sregl Island.

Nailisi had found the sunken ship, and if there were any benefits, Saleen would not forget about the others.

Nailisi took out the wooden material that she had found, placed them in front of the grade-3 mage, and asked, “Do you recognize this? It has been underwater for over ten thousand years and it still hasn’t rotted.” She tapped it with her fingers as she spoke. The wooden material produced a crisp and clear metal sound.

“Thundercloud wood. This is from the giant dimension. These trees can grow up into the clouds and are much lighter than normal wood, yet much tougher than metal and also resistant to corrosion. Many combat vessels back in the day were made from this.”

This grade-3 mage was extremely knowledgeable and could recognize the history of this wood just by looking.

Nailisi took out the boxes to have the grade-3 mage analyze them. The material used to make these boxes were different from the wood used to make the ship, but they did not have any signs of corrosion either and produced a clear sound when tapped. From the echo, Nailisi could tell that the quality of this wooden material was about the same and not any less than that of the thundercloud wood.

“Divine cherrywood from the first abyssal dimension. Using this to create boxes is such a waste. This is material that can be used to make spatial equipment!”

Nailisi giggled and asked, “I have forgotten to ask your name. What shall I call you?”

The grade-3 mage was a little embarrassed as he replied, “Truman.”

“Truman, you seem very knowledgeable. Are all the mages on Sregl Island like this?”

“Of course not. I like alchemy and have researched materials much more than others. If not, I would be a grand mage by now,” Truman answered, though he did not seem to have any regrets.

“Yes, do not spread word about the sunken ship unless Master Jason is here. Now, with the three kings around, I cannot promise that they will not have any ideas,” Nailisi reminded him.

“Understood, I do not think those pirates are reliable either.” Truman nodded vigorously. Suddenly, he had another request.

“Nailisi, give me some of these materials. I want to research them.”

“Research?”

“Yes, I have only seen such things in books. All the properties I know are from books as well. I’m sure there are some differences.” Truman eyes shone.

“No.”

Hearing Nailisi reject him, Truman became a little disappointed before Nailisi said, “You cannot use spatial equipment right now. If I gave this to you, you would not have anywhere to hide it. If you want to conduct research, come to the temple and find me every day when no one is around. I won’t be on the ship from now on.”

Nailisi had a feeling that Truman would be of great use to Saleen and hence had played a joke on him. Truman was overjoyed as he nodded fervently.

“Nailisi, are we still looking for that ship?” the winged skeleton asked. From the rewards they had obtained, this ship was definitely of greater value than Irene’s ship. With this ship, Saleen would likely be satisfied.

“Search for it. If we find that ship, we might be able to find some clues on the ship’s route. Hey, Soldier, if you are following Master, you need to learn to be smarter. If you are too useless, I will eat you up,” Nailisi threatened.

The winged skeleton did not rebut. If someone else had said that, he would not have thought too much of it. What was there to eat? However, Nailisi was a demon and any demon would have done some research on spirits. The winged skeleton was worried that Nailisi really had a way of dealing with him.

“Okay, we have been out for over a day. Truman, go rest. The winged skeleton and I will continue looking for the sunken ship. If we haven’t found it in three days, we will go back,” Nailisi commanded. Truman was tired beyond belief. Hearing Nailisi’s words, he quickly went to rest in the cabin in the rear.

If a mage did not get enough sleep, it would affect the stability of their focus.

“Soldier, set the ship on its fastest speed. We need to expand the search radius.” Nailisi’s focus was on overdrive. When she had been evolving, she needed sleep badly and would sleep for days without waking up. Now that her evolution was complete, she had become someone who did not need sleep. The winged skeleton was a spirit and did not need much sleep either. So long as they had nourishment from death flames, any spirit could quickly restore themselves to their original state.

The winged skeleton did not dare disobey Nailisi, as he was almost like Nailisi’s contract creature now. The bone spirits had all been released and they searched within a two mile radius of the alchemy ship. The ship was moving at full speed and was already much faster than most combat vessels that travelled on the surface of the sea. This expended a great deal of energy, and the bone spirits could only allow the alchemy ship to move along slowly to prevent the wasting of any magic nuclei. However, to achieve such high speeds would require the expenditure of many magic nuclei.

They sailed in the sea for another day. If it had been anyone else, they would have been too tired to do anything. Only with the combination of a demon and a spirit could they continue working in such a boring environment.

After almost fifty hours, Nailisi found Irene’s sunken ship. It was in an odd location, in the ravines at the bottom of the sea. This ravine was not deep, but with such a ravine under the sea, unstable sea currents would naturally form. Since the Williams clan had gone by this route, it was their mistake for choosing this path.

The sunken ship of the Williams clan was not anything unusual. There was a large crack at the hull of the ship that had been left when it smashed into a mountain of ice. This ship must have been sunk about ten days ago. The corpses on the ship had been nearly eaten clean by the living creatures in the sea, and what were left were just the skeletons. Shell-like creatures had adhered to the surface of these bones, making them their homes.

Nailisi entered the ship. Finding the wares, she took everything inside and went to find the ship’s log, at the same time taking the magic compass.

With a powerful mage, one could look at the elemental vibrations left behind by the magic compass to determine the route taken by the boat. When this boat sank, the mage controlling the ship had not destroyed the compass. They must have thought that no one would retrieve it from the ocean floor.

Of course, the things on Irene’s hunting ship were decent too. There were large numbers of grade-4 magic nuclei and some grade-6 ones as well. Many sea creatures had legs stronger than metal. There were shells, scales, bones, and tendons of the magic beasts living in the sea. There were also some sealed boxes and bottles, and these were filled with special blood. Nailisi took a whiff and knew this blood could be used to create high-grade magic medicine.

The wares onboard were not plentiful, but the value of the wares on a boat could not be measured in gold coins.

The owner’s business had been decent. A pirate ship had been enough in exchange for leads on this sunken ship. The value of a pirate ship was less than ten thousand gold coins and Irene had taken a loan from her owners. The rewards from this sunken ship now exceeded a million gold coins.

Nailisi calculated that they had been out at sea for four days. In these four days, the pan’s turtle alchemical boat had used up several grade-6 magic nuclei, and the cost was to be counted in tens of thousands of gold coins. Even if they did not discover the Second Dynasty combat vessel, with this sunken ship of the Williams clan, they would have earned back everything.

The one who had lost everything was Irene. She had gone out to sea and spent hundreds of thousands of gold coins, only to have her ship sunk in the end.
